Monday:
Stories: Squirrels:

Science: We learned many squirrel facts while reading the book, Squirrel.  Squirrels use their tails for a sail when swimming, for a balancer when running on tree boughs, for a blanket when they sleep, and as a parachute when they jump from tree to tree.  A squirrel’s home is called a drey.

Songs: Brown Squirrel

Weekly Reader: Time to Give Thanks

Math: Counting Turkey feather on the activity page of our Weekly Reader

HEA:

·         Categorizing game: big, large, medium, little and small

·          White Board Activity to review over, under, large, small, medium

Literacy: After learning about Thanksgiving in our Weekly Reader we discussed ways that we are thankful to God during this holiday.  They came up with many ideas.  The children cut out their choice of an apple, a pear, a pumpkin, or a cob of corn.  The children then dictated to us something that they were thankful for and we put the fruit on a fall wreath.
