Stories: Squirrels:
Science: We learned many squirrel facts while
reading the book, Squirrel.
Squirrels use their tails for a sail when swimming, for a balancer when running
on tree boughs, for a blanket when they sleep, and as a parachute when they jump
from tree to tree. A squirrel’s home
is called a drey.

Literacy: After learning about Thanksgiving in our
Weekly Reader we discussed ways that we are thankful to God during this holiday.
They came up with many ideas.
The children cut out their choice of an apple, a pear, a pumpkin, or a cob of
corn. The children then dictated to
us something that they were thankful for and we put the fruit on a fall wreath.
