Principal's Message

Dear SEAS Families,                                  Summer 2008

Our school year has ended and we miss the kids already.  We will remain busy throughout the summer as we prepare a third grade classroom for our pioneers.  The new desks and chairs have already arrived and the rest of the furnishings will soon follow.  Our new 3rd grade teacher will be Miss Krystal Huffman.  Miss Huffman comes to us from St. Joseph School where she has, very successfully, been teaching the 4th grade.  She is looking forward to becoming a part of the SEAS family and has some exciting learning adventures in store for the 3rd graders.

Our new kindergarten teacher is Ms. Laura Gregoroski.  Ms. Gregoroski is a SEAS parishioner who formerly taught kindergarten in Kansas City.  She, too, is excited about joining our school family and teaching our children.

The new PE teacher will be Mrs. Cheryl Knox who we will share with St. Joseph School.  Mrs. Knox has 3 children in our system and is a veteran PE teacher.  We joyfully welcome her and all of our new faculty.

Our biggest announcement has to do with our new Principal.  Mrs. Cheryl Hall, who has 6 children of her own in our system, will take over in July and is very enthusiastic about leading SEAS School.  She is looking forward to meeting everyone and working together with the faculty and staff to help SEAS continue to grow and prosper.

Everyone should put Tuesday, August 19, on their calendars.  Our Home and School will be hosting a "Back To School Bash" for all our school families.  It will be chance to greet new friends, re-connect with other families, see the classrooms, and enjoy building up the school community.  Please watch the parish bulletins for more details.

We hope that your summer is relaxing and rejuvenating - we are already looking forward to seeing everyone again.  We ask that you continue to keep St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and all of our Springfield Catholic Schools in your prayers – we keep you in ours.
