Community Counts at St. Agnes

Who We Are
The Home and School Association of St. Agnes is an active group of parents who are strongly committed to supporting the administration, teachers, students, and families of the school. We strive to enhance the Catholic education of our children through effective communication, dynamic fund raising efforts, and positive community spirit. We believe in strong Catholic faith and traditions, open communication between school and families, and creating an atmosphere of unity among the whole school family.

What We Accomplish
Every Year: We pay all student entry fees for Math, Science, and Language competitions. We provide each teacher with funds to buy supplies for their classroom. We organize and sponsor the Ice Cream Social,
Boo Fest, Muffins w/ Mom, Donuts w/Dad, Skating Parties, Trivia Night, and Teacher Appreciation. We collect ads and compile the School Directory, and organize the yearly Teachers Purse for Christmas. We sponsor 8th grade graduation and donate to Project Graduation at Springfield Catholic High School.
2007/2008: We purchased a laminator for the office. We contributed over $2000 to the library. We purchased new playground equipment and storage containers. We provided the bouncy rooms for field day. We donated over $4000 for urgent kitchen repairs. We paid for Discovery Center in-school programs.

Where The Money Comes From
Our fund raising consists of Scrip, magazine renewals, Box Tops, Tyson Project A+ label collection, Trivia Night, and any donations.

 How You Can Participate
All parents are considered members of Home and School and are strongly encouraged to attend meetings and participate with events. Sign up to volunteer at the Parent Information Nights, or contact your child's Room Parent. Meetings will be held the second Monday of odd months at 6:30 p.m. We welcome your suggestions.
