ENDOWMENT FUND

The Springfield Catholic Schools Endowment Fund was established in 1998 for the purpose of receiving, investing, reinvesting and disbursing funds and other properties exclusively for the benefit of Springfield Catholic School System. In 2003 the Development Board of Springfield Catholic Schools inaugurated “The Next Generation” Endowment Campaign to help secure the future of quality Catholic education in Springfield. Particular emphasis was placed on a more competitive salary scale to ensure that the highest quality teachers continue to be at the core of our schools.

Teachers

Annually, teachers submit requests for curriculum enhancements. The Endowment Board is responsible for reviewing and approving all requests.

Student Families

Families of students may requests scholarships from the Endowment Fund to supplement tuition for the coming school year. Every scholarship request must be supported by income documentation. The Endowment Board reviews all requests according to policy provisions and a determination is made based on the available scholarship funds and the number of scholarships requested for that particular school year.

Arin Becker Scholarship Fund

The family of Arin Becker set up this $500 annual scholarship for higher education in memory of their daughter. This award is based on need and desire for further education, rather than grades. Applications for this scholarship are submitted through the Senior Theology class.

General Endowment

All gifts directed to the General Endowment Fund will be invested and disbursements therefrom will go to the operating budget of the Springfield Catholic Schools. An example of funds to this endowment is the “Next Generation Campaign.”
