Seventh Grade News
Thank
you, parents, for responding so well to the parent-teacher conferences. It is so
beneficial to meet with you at the beginning of the school year to discuss your
child's academic and behavioral progress. Working together helps to insure
your child's success!
During November, our thoughts are turned
to thanksgiving. On November 7th, the 7th grade
students will bring money to buyout of their uniform. The
money will help purchase turkeys for our Thanksgiving
baskets. Then on the 11th, the students will participate in
our Veterans Day Assembly. There will be an all school Mass
on the 25th to celebrate the Thanksgiving holidays.
Upcoming Events:
November 4 -- Election Day
November 7 -- 1:30 Dismissal
November 11 -- Veterans Day - Assembly in
the afternoon
November 14 -- Home and School Spaghetti
Dinner
November 21 -- Peace Day
November 22 -- Father/Daughter Dinner and
Dance
November 24 -- Progress Reports
November 25 -- All school Mass at 8:30
November 26-28 -- Thanksgiving Vacation
November 30 -- Advent begins
Projects
Students will be working on their prose
and poetry anthology for the Language Arts Fair. The class
will be reading the Gospel of Luke and The Acts of the
Apostles for religion. In math, the class will begin a unit
of fractions, which will help them when they begin working
with their quilting materials.
Note
to Parents
Thank you for sharing your children with
me this year. The emphasis in our classroom this year will
be on problem solving through cooperation. In some
activities, grades will not be as important as the ability
to communicate and work together. I feel like these are
skills that extend beyond our academic curriculum.
If you have any questions or concerns
please call the office (866-0667) and leave a message. I will return
your call as soon as possible.
Thank you for all the ways you support
your child and St. Joseph School. When we work together,
great things happen!
