About Our School
A Pre-school through 8th grade Catholic school located near downtown Springfield, Missouri, we feature small class sizes (the current average number of students per classroom is 13), a highly skilled faculty, great students, and supportive families.

Springfield Catholic Schools
St. Joseph is one of four elementary schools in the Springfield Catholic School System and feeds into Springfield Catholic High School.  We operate under the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Springfield-Cape Girardeau Catholic Schools Office.

Where Our Students Come From
St. Joseph offers an excellent academic program within a strong Catholic learning environment. Our students come to us from all six Springfield parishes as well as the outlying parishes. We also serve several non-Catholic students.

Accreditation
We are accredited through the Missouri Chapter of the National Federation of Non-Public School State Accrediting Association. As a fully accredited institution, St. Joseph School faculty is comprised of teachers who hold degrees or advanced degrees and certification in their respective areas.

Admission
A child is to be three (3) years of age prior to August 1 to be eligible for admission to our Montessori preschool program and five (5) years of age prior to August 1 to be eligible for admission to Kindergarten.
