Emerald Evening
Emerald Evening is scheduled for March 20, 2010. Mark your calendars and plan to attend this fun fund-raising event. St. Joseph School will, once again, be participating in the raffle which has the potential to help both our school and St. Joseph Parish. Please read the attached information.
Uniform Sale!
St. Joseph Home and School will conduct a Used Uniform Sale from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on our early dismissal day, Friday, November 6. We have added an additional opportunity the following day, Saturday, November 7, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Both sales will be held in the school auditorium.Donated uniforms can be dropped off at St. Joseph School anytime during school hours or at Anna Sophia's during her business hours. Grateful SCS families thank you for donating your used uniforms!
Prices: Pants, Skirts, Skorts, & Jumpers = $10.00 each; everything else = $5.00 each.
Playground Update
Thanks to generous donors and a wonderful group of workers - our playground looks great! The mountain of gravel has been moved to the play area and is now providing a safe and durable play surface that will last for many years. A huge "THANK YOU" to everyone who donated or helped!

We congratulate these new officers and all the candidates who all ran great campaigns and were very worthy of consideration. We are looking forward to a wonderful year of Student Council led activities.
Scrip News
Parents, and scrip supporters: Please read the attached letter from our Central Office concerning the use of Scrip as a way of providing tuition rebates. This is a decision that was made out of a need to protect our status as a tax-exempt organization. We all hope that, in the future, the issue can be resolved. In the meantime, please continue to support Scrip as a fundraiser for our Home and School. Flu Memo
Please read this information regarding the upcoming flu season - we all have a part to play in keeping the school community healthy!Junior High Fleece
An addition has been made to the Junior High Uniform Code. 7th & 8th graders will have the option of wearing fleece jackets. Two colors and logo styles are availble. The logo options are:1) Embroidered logo on upper left chest; as noted on the order form is the System logo with Springfield Catholic Schools in green (not black) below the box.
2) Laser engraved logo on upper left chest: is the same logo as what is embroidered. This has a stamped appearance and provides a more hidden tone on tone look. No extra cost.
3) Laser engraved Full Back – same logo as on front; 13” high. This can be ordered with either the embroidered upper left chest or the lasered ULC. The ULC always comes on the fleece. Extra cost of $4.00 per garment so total cost = $32.00 each.
Parent Information Night
Thursday, August 27
PreSchool, K-1, and 2nd/3rd grade Parent Information Sessions will start at 6:00 p.m. (two 15-minute sessions).
4th - 8th Grade Parent session will begin immediately following a short Home and School Meeting which begins at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium.
